You wrote about needing a "voice" to lead (you used different wording. I read over my morning news and podcasts about D's needing a leader. I have written about the need for a Moses to lead D's out of the desert. I think your poem gently presses this thought. (Repub's also could use a Moses)

This leader would combine the dignity and gravitas associated accessibility and authenticity of leadership-who listens to all voices and speaks with authority.. They would be someone who could speak at a state dinner and at a union hall with equal comfort and credibility. And maybe quote your poetry.
