Your poetry melted some ice on our steps --because of its warmth. (sorry cannot help myself) ICE is also an equal opportunity challenge, just like climate change.
Thank you for commenting, Elizabeth. I was shocked that I had to scroll and scroll before finding anything on regular ice.. what does that say about us?
It captures the confusion we all feel ... even familiar words mean so many different things .. communication is very difficult when we all have different images in response to a simple statement.
The search for definition of ice turns into a comment on our society - the order of meanings revealing our current priorities and fears. Thank you Suzanna for making me pay attention! ❄️
Such a poignant point to shine a light on; such a scary time (of the year, of the season, of our lives) for the most vulnerable. Thanks for sharing friend.
ICE: Chilling and powerful! The fear of falling, sliding into the netherworld of ICE and I.C.E. and even the beautiful ice on the lawn, trees, the roads, my car …. Thank you Susanna 💦 🌨️ ❄️ ❤️
I love the glistening prisms of colored light you can see through ice. The sparkle of pretty diamonds on everything outside. Sure, we need to make choices not to run wild on slippery sidewalks, but take a pause and dream like a child.
Some interesting through lines...ICE also freezes immigrants into uncertain futures...
Yes, Tim, that is a great point and play on words. The danger of the ICE storm.

I'm glad the poem melted the ice. You are right that ICE is a EO challenge. So many.
Ice storms and hoar frost
Same molecules but different
I wrote a poem about hoar frost a few years back. Just stunning. Thank you for your comment!
This piece is just, I have no words. Wow.
(Thank you, Suzanna)
Thank you, Phoebe! I appreciate your comment very much.
What a powerful poem about ICE and ice and ice. Thank you.

That ICE and ice are forefront I fear, and certainly are for many I have known. I am super worried with the new administration.
