Intriguing camo information. I bought my first camo print tee-shirt. A tribute to President Zelensky (he looks much better in his). I've been the recipient of IA hunting for years. Various cuts of deer meat, turkey, pheasant, and quail. All go so well with fall squash and pumpkin pie! Thanks
Gloria: Thank you so much for reading and responding. I love that you bought a camo tee in solidarity with President Zelensky. It seems like the right way to wear camo. I too have been the recipient of hunting for years, including venison and pheasant. I am pleased that Iowa has a program to donate venison to prisons and food pantries. I hope you will keep reading Iowa Writers Collaborative members' work!
I was sitting here reading this in my ridiculous black and gray camo sweatpants with the bright pink in stripe down the leg (my husband hates them). The article made me snicker at myself. Camo for daily life (especially with a pink pin stripe) is even more ludicrous than for hunting - and that makes me laugh. It is silly and light hearted - two traits I like to have around the house! Which, when I thought about it, is why I bought them!
Beth, I can just picture the camo sweatpants now! I adore fashion of any kind and am so curious about why we wear what we wear and what we choose to buy -- from camo sweats to designer handbags to Carhart to clothing with sports logos. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment -- it means a lot! I look forward to more of your writings as well.
Such interesting info. Thanks! Now I’m wondering what you think is the next trend in fashion that will have such success? I also am happy that Ronnie is such a good sport (pardon the pun).
