Do we also do this in program and project evaluation? Measure what can be numbered and sometimes miss the important things that cannot?

Isaacson, biographer of Da Vinci, Franklin, Jobs and Einstein produced “Elon Musk” nearly three years ago after two years of exhaustive, embedded contact with him. A complex, multi-faceted and imperfect person he is far more than his dollars. Reading it engenders surprising respect.

Indeed. I read it and it was fascinating. (In a fun fact, Walter Isaacson was my brother's neighbor in Georgetown. ) All of these driven entrepreneurs are multi-faceted, complex, sometimes flawed, sometimes amazing human beings.
