Poetry and Interview featured on Etched Onyx Story Discovery Podcast
I invite you to listen in to 4 poems and a conversation about writing, grief and loss
Dear Readers:
Last year, I had 4 poems published by Etched Onyx Magazine and I shared the link with you at that time. Soon after the poems were accepted, I was interviewed about the poems, which all centered on the theme of grief and loss. The podcast was just released. I invite you to listen to a reading of the poems as well as the conversation I had with the editors.
Here is what Etched Onyx had to say in the introduction:
“Grief and loss hit us all eventually. Prepare yourself for these emotionally packed poems of passing by Suzanna de Baca. Suzanna walks us through each poem and the related experience of grieving. During the interview we explore the difference between writing for business and writing to create, and Suzanna reveals the secrets of how she fits writing into the demands of her work as the CEO of a business publishing company. If you’d like to read these poems or learn more about Suzanna de Baca, head over to Etched Onyx Magazine at www.onyxpublications.com. Thank you again for reading and for supporting my poetry.
Suzanna
Beautiful and mesmerizing. I listened to this on my run and then realized my run was over!
Hi Suzanna, the writers group is still going strong after 13 years. It’s called the Le Claire Writers, though we have members in Des Moines and Texas, ( our Skype host).
My fellow writers call me the leader, having been the only member from the original group, but lately I haven’t contributed much due to health issues, other priorities and a little lack of confidence. (My ghost story has been moldering in the ashes for years now.
The ghost seems to have ‘given up the ghost’, and me as well!) But we are a close group of friends now who support each other once/month, as writers and human beings dealing with complications of existence. (One fella, with much talent, has long Covid.)
Thank you for asking. I’m going to share some of your writerly advice at our next meeting this Saturday 😃
